Terms of Service
Last updated 22 September 2026.
Draft. These terms are a starting text prepared for review by Dot Sms and its legal adviser. They are not published to search engines until legalDraft is switched off in site.ts.
1. The service
Dot Sms (“we”) provides Dot Sms Business One (“the platform”) as a service: a browser-based ERP for restaurants, fast-food chains and other businesses, hosted by us at dotsms.net. Each customer (“the business”) receives its own address on the platform, its own users and its own data.
2. Subscription and payment
The platform is licensed per business, per month, on the plan agreed in the quotation or order form. The plan sets the modules switched on, the number of branches and users, and any add-ons such as the Owner app and QR ordering. [FILL — invoicing, due dates, currency, taxes, what happens on late payment, and notice for cancellation.]
3. The business’s data
- Everything the business enters into the platform remains the business’s property.
- Each business’s data is isolated from every other by row-level security in the database.
- The platform keeps an immutable audit log of changes, deletions and refused actions; it is part of the business’s records.
- We take backups and run a data census before and after every deployment. On termination the business may request an export of its data. [FILL — export format and the period after termination during which data is kept.]
4. Accounts and security
The business is responsible for its users, their privileges and the devices it registers for the Owner app. Rights are enforced on the server; two-factor sign-in is available and may be required by the business’s policy. The business must tell us promptly of any unauthorised use.
5. Availability and releases
We aim to keep the platform available at all times and release updates from a staging environment after validation. Open browsers refresh automatically after a release. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where practicable. [FILL — any uptime commitment and support hours.]
6. Acceptable use
The business must not use the platform unlawfully, attempt to access another business’s data, interfere with the service, or reverse-engineer it. We may suspend access to protect the platform or other customers.
7. Liability
The platform records what the business enters; the business remains responsible for its own accounting, tax and legal compliance. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees paid for the platform in the preceding twelve months. [FILL — confirm with legal adviser; governing law and jurisdiction (Pakistan).]
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. Continued use after the change is acceptance of it.
