Before you ask
Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs in Chrome or Edge on any PC, tablet or phone. An optional Print Agent on the counter PC sends slips straight to the thermal printer.
Does it do proper accounting or just sales?
A full double-entry general ledger: Trial Balance, General Ledger, P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, net worth — and every operational entry posts its own voucher automatically.
We have several branches.
Head office and outlets share one ledger with inter-branch accounts; stock and cash move through “in transit” screens; every statement can be per branch or consolidated.
How does it know my food cost?
Each menu item has a recipe. A sale consumes the ingredients at the branch’s moving-average cost and posts the cost of sales. Bills that arrive after the goods are settled back to the sales they belong to.
Can staff delete things?
Only what their privileges allow — per form, per action, per branch — and the server checks, not just the screen. Every change and refusal is in the audit log.
What if the internet drops at the counter?
Orders are kept in the browser and sent when the line returns; a slow line is shown on screen.
Can the owner see it on a phone?
Yes — the Dot Sms Owner app (web app or Android) with its own logins and push alerts.
Is my data separate from other businesses?
Yes — enforced in the database itself (row-level security), not only in the application.
Urdu?
The POS menu, kitchen slip and customer bill can be in Urdu.
