DotSms Medics · Medical stores & pharmacies

Medical store software that watches the expiry dates for you.

DotSms Medics runs the counter, the batches and the books of a medical store, pharmacy or medical wholesaler in Pakistan. Every medicine is held by batch with its expiry, the nearest expiry is sold first, a tablet, a strip and a box are three prices of the same thing, and the registers print themselves.

Why a medical store outgrows a billing machine

Four things a medical store here loses money on.

A billing screen adds the bill up. It does not know which batch is about to expire, what a strip costs out of a box, or whether the register will stand up to a question. This does.

Medicine expires on the shelf and nobody notices until it is worthless

Every medicine is held by batch with its own expiry. The counter gives out the nearest expiry first, the Expiry Report warns you as far ahead as you tell it to, and the Expiry Return List fills a return to the supplier for you.

The registers are written by hand, and the inspector asks for them

The prescription is taken at the counter — patient and doctor — and a controlled drug will not go out without the buyer’s ID. The Prescription Register and the Controlled Drugs Register are printed from the same records, not copied out again.

A strip is sold, a box is bought, and the stock stops making sense

Tablet, strip and box are three prices of one medicine, and the system knows how many of one make the other. Sell any of them and the shelf goes down correctly.

The shop knows its sale, not its profit

Every sale, purchase and payment writes its own entry as it happens. Trial Balance, P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and what the shop is worth are there the same evening — no month-end catch-up.

What it covers

From the first customer of the day to the Balance Sheet.

The counter, the shelf and the books are one system, so a sale at the counter and the month’s profit are the same set of records.

The counter

Search by brand or by generic, scan a barcode, see the shelf balance on the line. Cash, bank or a credit customer.

Batch and expiry

Every movement carries its batch and expiry; the nearest expiry goes out first, and expired stock can be refused outright.

Substitutes

When the brand is out, the counter offers the same generic at the same strength first.

Tablet, strip, box

One medicine, three units and three prices, with the arithmetic between them done for you.

Prescriptions

Patient and doctor recorded with the bill; a controlled drug asks for the ID before it will sell.

Medicine catalogue

344 common Pakistani medicines, about 150 generics and 60 manufacturers to start from — copy a row, keep your own price.

Buying

Reorder List that fills a Purchase Order, bonus quantity on the invoice, supplier ledger and payables monitor.

The books

Cash book, day book, trial balance, P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and net worth — written by the sales themselves.

Made for here

Why it fits a Pakistani medical store.

It already knows our medicines

The starter catalogue is 344 medicines sold here, with their generics and makers — the shop is not typed in from nothing.

Priced in rupees, by module and by branch

PKR 4,000 a branch a month for the four core modules, PKR 7,000 for all nine — no charge per counter and none per user.

No installation

It runs in Chrome or Edge on the PC already at the counter; a print agent drives the slip printer.

Retail, wholesale or distribution

The same system serves a shop, a medical wholesaler and a distributor — a wholesale rate per customer, with a credit limit the counter checks.

The staff cannot quietly undo a sale

Rights are per screen and per action, checked on the server; every change is recorded, and a closed day stays closed.

Built and supported from here

Made in Mirpur, Azad Kashmir by the people who answer the phone — the same company behind Dot Sms Business One.

Pricing

Two plans, in rupees, per branch per month.

No licence per counter and no licence per user. Setup, training and bringing your existing stock in are quoted with the plan.

FAQ

What owners ask before they buy.

What does medical store software cost in Pakistan?

DotSms Medics is sold per shop per month, in rupees: Basic PKR 4,000, Business PKR 7,000. There is no charge per counter and none per user. Setup, training and bringing your existing stock in are quoted with the plan.

How does it stop medicine expiring on the shelf?

Stock is held batch by batch, each batch with its own expiry date. The counter picks the nearest expiry first, so old stock moves before new. The Expiry Report warns you however many days ahead you choose, and the Expiry Return List turns what is near expiry into a return to the supplier in one step. You can also tell it to refuse an expired batch outright.

Can I sell a single tablet, a strip and a full box?

Yes. A medicine carries how many tablets make a strip and how many strips make a box, with a price for each. Sell any of the three and the shelf goes down by the right number of tablets.

Does it keep the prescription and controlled drugs registers?

Yes. The prescription — patient and doctor — is taken at the counter and kept with the bill; a controlled drug will not sell without the buyer’s identification. The Prescription Register and the Controlled Drugs Register are printed from those same records.

Do I have to type in every medicine?

No. It opens with a starter list of 344 medicines commonly sold in Pakistan, about 150 generics and 60 manufacturers, and you copy what you stock into your own list with your own prices. Your existing items, customers, suppliers and opening stock also come in from an Excel file.

Is this the same as Dot Sms Business One?

No, and the difference matters. Dot Sms Business One is the restaurant system. DotSms Medics is built for a medical store — batches, expiry, strips, substitutes, prescriptions — from the same company and the same engineering, on its own. Choose the one that matches your shop; the sign-up for one will not give you the other.

Does it handle sales tax?

Tax is set per business and prints on the bill. Digital invoicing with FBR is not part of the system today — if that is a requirement for your shop, say so and we will be straight with you about the timeline.

How do we start?

Ask for a demo and we will set it up on your own medicines and your own prices so you can see it before deciding. After that the catalogue, the opening stock and the opening balances are set up with you and the counter staff are trained.

Other industries: clothing and shoe shops · fast food and restaurants · leasing and installment sales

A demo runs on your items, your batches and your prices — tell us about the shop and we will set it up.
