DotSms Retail · Mobile, electronics, general stores & wholesale

Retail software that knows which piece you sold.

DotSms Retail runs a mobile shop, an electronics showroom, a general store, a hardware or auto-parts shop, or a wholesaler. Serial numbers and IMEIs followed from the delivery to the customer, warranty printed on the bill, a wholesale rate for the customers who buy that way — and a full set of books under all of it.

Why a shop outgrows a billing machine

Four things a retail shop here loses money on.

A billing screen adds the bill up. It does not know which handset went out, when its warranty ends, or what the wholesale customer should have been charged. This does.

A phone goes out and nobody can say which one

A serial or IMEI is registered when the goods are received, attached to the bill when it is sold, and followed through a customer return or a return to the supplier. Months later you can still say where that exact piece went.

The warranty claim arrives and the proof does not

The item carries its warranty months, and the bill prints the date that warranty runs to. The customer has it in their hand and you have it in the system.

Retail and wholesale out of the same stock, at the wrong rate

Each customer carries the price level they buy at, so the counter shows a wholesale customer the wholesale rate and everyone else the retail one — and will not cross the credit limit you set.

The shop knows its sale, not its profit

Every sale, purchase and payment writes its own entry as it happens. Trial Balance, P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and what the shop is worth are there the same evening.

What it covers

From the first customer of the day to the Balance Sheet.

The counter, the shelf and the books are one system, so a sale at the counter and the month’s profit are the same set of records.

The counter

Scan or search, shelf balance on the line, cash, bank or credit; discount per line or on the bill.

Serials & IMEI

Registered on receipt, sold at the counter, returned to the customer or to the supplier — all traced.

Warranty

Warranty months on the item; the bill prints the date it runs to.

Wholesale rates

A price level per customer, carton and pack pricing, credit limits enforced at the counter.

Variants & brands

Size and colour where the goods have them, brands as a proper list for brand-wise reports.

Promotions

Running offers apply themselves to each line; a cashier’s own discount still takes precedence.

Buying

Purchase invoice and return, a price list that fills the rate, supplier ledger and payables monitor.

The books

Cash book, day book, trial balance, P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and net worth.

Made for here

Why it fits a Pakistani shop.

Your own barcodes when the maker’s are missing

Code 128 labels print from the system, and an article with no readable code gets an in-store code of its own. A code already used elsewhere is refused.

Priced in rupees, by module and by branch

PKR 4,000 a branch a month for the four core modules, PKR 7,000 for all nine — no charge per counter and none per user.

No installation

It runs in Chrome or Edge on the PC already at the counter; a print agent drives the slip printer.

Your existing stock comes in

Items, customers, suppliers, opening stock and supplier openings arrive from an Excel file — you do not start from an empty shop.

The staff cannot quietly undo a sale

Rights are per screen and per action, checked on the server; every change is recorded, and a closed day stays closed.

Built and supported from here

Made in Mirpur, Azad Kashmir by the people who answer the phone — the same company behind Dot Sms Business One.

Pricing

Two plans, in rupees, per branch per month.

No licence per counter and no licence per user. Setup, training and bringing your existing stock in are quoted with the plan.

FAQ

What owners ask before they buy.

What does retail shop software cost in Pakistan?

DotSms Retail is sold per shop per month, in rupees: Basic PKR 4,000, Business PKR 7,000. There is no charge per counter and none per user. Setup, training and bringing your existing stock in are quoted with the plan.

Can it track IMEI numbers for a mobile shop?

Yes. A serial or IMEI is registered when the goods are received, attached to the bill when the piece is sold, and followed through a customer return or a return to the supplier. You can ask the system at any time where a particular piece went.

How does the warranty work?

The item carries how many months of warranty it comes with, and the bill prints the date that warranty runs to, for that piece. When a customer comes back, the sale and its serial are already there to look up.

We sell retail and wholesale from the same shop.

Each customer carries the price level they buy at, so the counter shows a wholesale customer the wholesale rate and everyone else the retail one — out of the same stock. A carton can be priced as a carton, and a credit limit per customer is enforced at the counter.

We sell things by weight.

A weighing scale that prints its own barcode is read at the counter: the item and the weight come out of the code, and the line is priced from it.

Is this the same as Dot Sms Business One?

No. Dot Sms Business One is the restaurant system. DotSms Retail is the same engine with the retail parts switched on — serials, warranty, wholesale rates, barcodes. The sign-up for one will not give you the other; tell us the shop and we will set up the right one.

Does it handle sales tax?

Tax is set per business and prints on the bill. Digital invoicing with FBR is not part of the system today — if that is a requirement for your shop, say so and we will be straight with you about the timeline.

My trade is not on this page.

Then tell us how the business works. The company built software to order before it had products of its own, and the parts a trade needs are switched on per business — a shop nobody has written a system for is a normal week here.
